Enhancing your academic visibility & profile: Overview

Overview: Enhancing your academic visibility & profile

In this guide you - as researcher, as author - can learn how to become more visible and how to enhance your academic profile:

  • How can you make sure that your publications can be found easily in citation databases such as Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar or in tools like Altmetric Explorer? By managing your author profiles, such as Web of Science Researcher Profile/ResearcherID, ORCID iD, Google Scholar Citations profile or Scopus Author ID.
  • Scholarly collaboration networks, for example ResearchGate and Academia.edu, give you the opportunity to be found, to showcase your interests, your work and yourself and to follow fellow researchers. These networks are also used to share and to access scientific articles.
  • The Erasmus University Rotterdam uses Pure to show publications and information about researchers and research units. Pure also serves as the trusted repository for all publications published by the EUR. You can add information to your profile page and publications.
