Take a Moment with Headspace

You can support your wellbeing through guided meditations, breathing exercises, and mindfulness tools. Even just a few minutes can help you feel calmer during a busy day. Why not combine these videos with a visit to the Mindfulnest at the University Library for a full moment of calm?
Below, you'll find a selection of short and longer Headspace meditations (shared by Solent University) to help you take a meaningful break—wherever you are.

Stronger with a Study Buddy

Whether you prefer meeting in person or connecting online, having a study buddy can make a big difference in staying motivated, accountable, and productive. If you enjoy face-to-face interactions, team up with a friend at the library or a cozy café to set goals and tackle work together. Alternatively, a digital study buddy can be just as effective—check in virtually, share your goals for the day, take breaks to discuss to what extent you met your goals, and encourage each other to stay on track. Whether in real life or online, a study partner can help you stay accountable, offer support when you’re stuck, and make studying feel less isolating.

Breathing Exercises

When stress or fatigue starts to build up, taking a few minutes to focus on your breathing can help you reset and refocus. Breathing exercises are a quick and effective way to calm your mind, reduce tension, and boost your concentration. Whether you’re new to the practice or looking for guidance, these short videos from  Johns Hopkins Rheumatology can help:

Try one of these techniques during a study break—you’ll return feeling refreshed and ready to tackle your work.
